花花公子長島道行白天是牙醫，晚上是爵士樂手。一心想找個完美情人的他周旋在由加、百合和惠子三女之間。本來享盡齊人之福的長島，最後卻為了逃避眾女逼婚，被逼落難離國！身邊女友如走馬燈一樣團團轉的男人，到底叫人又羡又妒，還是有苦自己知呢？男女關係搞得一塌湖塗，是否就如導演森田芳光所言︰沒有嚐過放蕩的生活，就體會不了真愛的可貴？森田作品向以題材寫實著稱，本片正好道出八十年代初期日本人的戀愛和生活態度。

This is the story of Michiyuki Nagashima, played ably by Ishida Junichi, who is a dentist that through his practice attracts many women, all of whom want to marry him. He vows that he'll only marry the woman who helps him sleep, as he is a chronic insomniac. This is a lighthearted film, a bit on the silly side, since you can hardly feel sorry for the guy. He doesn't abuse the women in his life, more misleads them. You get to follow him at his gigs, where he is a good jazz alto saxophonist, his job and his little liaisons in Tokyo. Its a watchable film, not wholly essential viewing, but for fans of light Japanese comedy. If you do like this genre, I would recommend it.
